Initially getting indexed in Google
may seem easy, just submit your URL to Google directly, wait for it to get
indexed, sit back and watch the traffic flood in and make piles of cash?
Well as those of you new or old to
the internet have soon found out, it simply does not work like that. In fact
submitting your site directly to How to be Number 1 in Google is probably the
single worst thing you can ever do. Sounds odd? Well if you do submit direct
you are likely to find your site goes into what is called Google's sandbox. If
this happens your site may take 6 months or more to appear in Google's
listings, in fact in numerous cases this actually results in your site never
appearing in Google ever.
So how do you submit to How to be #1
in Google without actually submitting to Google so to speak? Well there are
numerous ways to do this; one of the easiest is shown below. It is easy to do
even if you are a beginner.
Add your signature to a forum - Join
any major internet forum (it can be anyone you like but make sure it is a large
forum) such as Digital Point and begin posting sensible questions and answers,
in the case of Digital Point you need to have been a member for 7 days and made
10 posts before you can "Add your signature" - This is one of the key
ways of getting Google to notice your website indirectly. Why is this? Well by
adding your website URL into your forum signature, when Google crawls the forum
(Remember Google loves fresh content such as forums so it crawls them on a
regular basis) it is likely to come across the URL in your signature and then
crawl your site. Hence a forum signature can get you listed in How to be #1 in
Google in no time at all.
